EC-Earth3 Rainfall mm/month

Shown above is the simulated EC-Earth3 average annual rainfall per month for the 1981-2010 period. This period is often referred to as the ‘present-day’ by climate researcher. The model has been set up with actual historically-observed amounts of greenhouse gases and other atmospheric pollutants.

EC-Earth3 Rainfall change mm/month

These are simulated average changes in rainfall (mm per month)  for the future period of 2071-2100 under the SSP2-4.5  scenario of greenhouse gas emissions. This scenario is a ‘middle-of-the-road’ imagination of the future – it represents a world where some reduction of greenhouse gases occurs (but not as much as the Paris Agreement requirements).his short blog post

Statistics for: London

What is the annual average rainfall as simulated by EC-Earth3 in the gridcell? Here we can compare the 'present-day' temperature (i.e. 1981-2010 average) with the simulated temperature change 150 years after aggressive global warming. You can the search bar at the top to change location. Enter any international city or town recognised by Google Maps.
